Just a quick question about dundee accomodation! I am coming to dundee next yr (i was meant to be there this yr as i got a place, but i decided to defer entry to go travel the world)
In 1st/2nd yr when people are not in uni halls of residence do most people stay in 2/3/4/5/6 bedroom flats??? I am looking at the moment to buy a flat and have seen a few but just wondering what most people go for! Also when we get a flat where is it best to advetise for people to rent with u?? I will be up in dundee quite a lot obviously over the next yr so i guessed putting something in the medical school??

I'm in first year, and almost all of the older students I know rent, or have bought, a flat. That's my plan for next year - where are good places to look? I don't think I know anyone in my year who isn't in halls, except graduates and people repeating.

Hi I am in third year at dundee, most people rent a flat, the usual is 2, 3, or 4 people sharing, although the more people you stay with it is likely the bigger the mess!
I think the best place to stay is the west end, along the perth road, or one of the streets off it. You will be close to the uni, near the major bus routes, and there are lots of shops, bakeries, a bank, a supermarket, videos shops, chinese, pizza place etc.I stayed there last year and stupidly moved away, I am hoping to move back there next year (so I might be a little biased!)
Hope this helps a bit

Yep, I'm along Perth Rd this year. Loads of students around there, shops nearby, buses to Ninewells etc.
I've got a 5 person flat. Most people have got 2/3 people probably. There's always loads of advertisements for flatmates at the Union, Ninewells and all over campus basically.
