Us first years are currently doing our MILE exam, which is a pbl we get to complete over a 24hr period. We are allowed to consult various sources for help, so you lot are gonna have to come up with the goods here...

These are the basic questions generated by our MILe scenario:

What does frequent diarrhoea and stools containing blood + mucuc indicate?
What are the possible causes of inflammation of the colonic mucosa?
What internal investigations would be approporiate?
What is 5-ASA and why is it used in inflammed bowel conditions?

Basically, we have a wee man that has a bit of a sore bum, so that is the scenario.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Question 2 should suggest an answer to question 1.

You could always reference it as Monklands Next Gen thread 976. :)
