Hi Everyone!
I have a question.
Has anyone ever had a conditional offer changed into an unconditional offer? Could you tell me about it if you have. I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks.
Damien.

I'm not 100% sure on this one, but I think hat when you have a conditional offer and after the exams once you've met the conditions it gets upgraded to an unconditional. I think my conditional from edinburgh last year (just get a B in biology) changed to an unconditional after exams
Unconditionals aren't a bad thing though if you're likely to get the conditions. The offer can't then be taken away from you.
I'll take a look at the UCAS stuff I've got and get back to you if you like

Yes, I had a change from conditional to unconditional with my offer from Glasgow (few years ago now though). They originally asked for two B's in CSYS, one in chemistry, one in either physics or maths. They invited me back for another interview after I'd done prelims but before I'd sat any exams and decided to give me an unconditional offer at that point.
As it turned out, I would have met the conditions, but it really helped to take the pressure off at exam time.

Hi!
Thanks for that input!
I know what you mean about taking off the pressure. When I got my first unconditional I felt like a tonne had been lifted off my shoulders. I have a conditional offer from Aberdeen (where I really want to go, of course) and I was wondering if they changed conditionals into unconditionals (before they phoned around the people they turned down previously to offer them a place) if they were filling up places.

Yes, I've no idea how often they do this, but I can see it would help them to firm up their numbers.

I had a conditional offer-just missed it and they took me anyway. I think that kind of applies

Hi Miriam :D !
I was wondering...what university was it that accepted you even after not quite getting their target conditional and, still on that subject, what was the condition and what did you get?
This would be a great help!

hi there,
It was Glasgow that accepted me even without quite filling the conditional which was AA at higher (one was a crash higher) and A in CSYS Chemistry. I got AA at higher and B in the chemistry. I hope you get into the uni you want :)

There's someone else e-mailing in the early hours of the morning - 1.54 - was it a good party MIMS? And Damien was up at 7.36 - insomnia? (reading NextGen might be a good cure) or were you on the way back from a good party, too?

For your information I was hillwalking with my VS group! Until quite late-nothing wrong with that. Nothing like a pint of Caffrey's after dragging one's ass up a really big hill.
Got my last exam tommorrow :D
Have fun
Mims

Elliot, you may notice that it says "PM" after the time. I know it looks like a 24hr it really isn't. SO :p !!!!!
I'm surprised at you! It must be that coffee....
