Ok, i think im going to do my biology investigation on vitamin C levels in fruit juice. My vague plan is to compare freshly squeezed, long life and 'home made' juices. Does anybody have any ideas on how to go about this because im having difficulty with the method.

i have a vague recollection of people boiling the juices last year in our chem class, cos they were doing the same thing. Hint:dont use pinapple juice, it makes you sick with the smell!!

DCPIP titres with vitamin C
dilute down your orange juice or the reaction gets all messy
use pure vit c solution for a control
DONT spill DCPIP unless you want to be purple the rest of your life

My project involved boiling vegetables in ethanol to use as indicators in titrations. I had to use another teacher's classroom and I got so much stick off of him becuase it smelt like a pickling factory after a week and a half. I ended up buying the teachers a huge box of chocolate biscuits by way of apology!
