Edinburgh??

Just wondering if any one else had applied to Edinburgh and if they knew when they started to send out word!!!I know they dont do interviews so im not sure if they tell you in March whether or not if you've got a place or if its sooner??

When i contacted edinburgh when i was filling in my ucas form i was told that they send out their offers at the same time as the other medical institutions, so if that is in march, i guess that is when we will all hear from them.. and i wouldnt worry about being rejected, i applied last year as well, and only had a good response from aberdeen, so its not as bad as you think!!

Is it REALLY March before the unis start getting back to you, or do some unis get in touch before then??

And what's the latest dates for interviews that people had last year, (just so I know when to start panicking)

well i had an interview with aberdeen in late February last year, but i dont know if i was one of the latest

first and only letter I got from edinburgh was an offer in late march last year. I never heard of anyone hearing any sooner

Dundee sent an interveiw date about a week later..... surprisingly enough I didn't go to that one....

Guess what i got a conditional offer for Edinburgh this morning ive to get a B in Higher Biology!!!YEAH!!
Now ill have to go and study for Biology instead of typing on this:lol :lol

I heard from a non-next gen friend that lots of people in hutchie have had unconditionals from all unis for a while.
Do u know that people from Hutchie had their own earlier time, and room in the university to sit their personality tests!!!

Godamn, I stil dont have any interviews OR conditionals orunconditionals for any medical OR non-medical course. Its not fair!!!!! :( :( :( :( :(

I dont know if there are private schools in coatbridge!! The only place i can even name in coatbridge is rosehall high. My uncle is the headteacher.

i dont even know when ill get the photos developed.
Im feeling REALLY fed up now cos u lot all have interviews and conditionals and hutchie people have all ubnconditionals just cos they pay to go to schoool, and Ive got nothing. WHATS WRONG WITH ME??????? did i put down 5 C's on my form?? huh??

Adam stop panicking you'll hear sumthing!!!Remeber that they are looking at forms till March!!There is nothing wrong with you ok!!!!I have quiet a few friends at Rosehall i live real close by to it!!!
Look i agree with you, if the people from Hutchie where offered places cos they pay then it is out of order.However you cant judge every person at Hutchie cos sum of them may deserve a place in Med school

the hutchie story is most likely a load of Bull. I heard that same story when I was applying, but nobody could actually gave a name of someone who had such offers, and also I have met very few people who had offers earlier than around march

I was told the hutchie story by a friend at hutchie who is applying to med. (they dont have these offers tho)

Hey got a bit embarrassed yesterday, I recieved a letter throught he post telling me I had an unconditional offer for Dundee, Then I realised it was for the non medical course OOPs:o :o :o

Don't worry about it. I've been around Foresterhill (where they conduct interviews in Aberdeen) and there has been interviewees there everytime. They do interviews all the way over Christmas and into next year. St. Andrews don't even start until next year. I think Aberdeen may even interview in order of application because me and Catrina (now in Glasgow) where interviewed on the same day and our applications were both sent together so they may even do it on a first come first serve basis. I got an interview for Aberdeen very early probably because my application would have been processed almost instantaneously because we were basically the first to use the new electronic method of application. Maybe some of your applications are just in a pile awaiting the admiring looks of the selectors.
