Glasgow Offers for 2005

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knew roughly when Glasgow give their decisions? Or if anyone has heard from glasgow yet? Lol this guy at my glasgow interview who was going in after me told me that they make a lot of offers in December but since I haven't heard (total paranoia!) I wondered if anyone on here knew?

As far as I know, no offers have been made yet - certainly no NextGeners have admitted to getting one and that is usually an early sign.

3 years ago and last year there were offers made in December but those are the only times since NextGen has been in operation - 6 or 7 years, I suppose, but feels longer!

hey i haven't heard of anyone getting an offer yet either and i was starting to get a bit worried as well!. I can't remember them saying at my interview when they would start giving out offers and i forgot to ask, fingers crossed we'll hear soon though!.

Oh good, I thought it might be a bad sign seen as I haven't heard yet either! Does this mean we won't hear until march now?

Phew! Glad you brought it up Hannah coz i was a bit worried too and thought people might just not be saying. Good to know we're all in the same boat!

it's good - they haven't rejected you yet.

hey don't worry, they interview up until march anyway so you've got plenty of time to hear from them! I know it can be a bit worrying if other people have had interviews, but Puds right they haven't rejected you so you've still got as good a chance of getting in as anyone else!

As far as im aware glasow are witholding all of their offers this year until the interviews are over. (was told by two seperate people)

which is awful cos they really should leave you waiting that long, and if aberdeen and dundee can get back to people quickly why cant glasgow!

thanks to everyone for their feedback! im not the only one who hasn't heard! yay! lol! altho i think tht is a bit rubbish withholding offers til all the interviews are over - mine was in november so if they wait til march, tht'll have been 5 months and altho i think im a patient person, im not that patient!!!!

so it is march that the last interviews are in, yeah? any nextgenners got march interviews? also, isn't the applicant visit day the 22nd? so i would assume we'd hear before then?

OK, so you didn't get to choose, but would you rather be waiting only a couple of weeks to get an interview and then 5 months for the result or 4 months before you have the interview and only a few weeks to get the result?

Maybe just as well you don't get to choose!

I doubt if anyone has interview dates for February or March yet.

I'm still waiting to hear whether or not I'm getting an interview for Dundee - has anyone else heard?

hey faye i've still to hear if i'm getting an interview from dundee as well. thought i might have heard by now so i was getting a bit worried. but they'll probably interview up into march so hopefully it shouldn't be too long now! i think only 1 or 2 people have heard about dundee interviews so far.

Dundee can respond positively to people showing an interest in their course - so it might be worth phoning their admissions unit, telling them you've been hearing over the holidays how good their course is and do they have an open day soon - and if they don't, will it be OK if you arrange with some of the present students to show you round? Naturally they will be happy for you to come and there are NextGeners there who will help.

Nothing from Dundee yet, but I got an aknowlegement letter from them to tell me that they interview people between january and march and i think alot of u guyz got that.
