Hey everyone!!
Elliott has asked me to say something about my work expereince at Falkirk Infirmary, so, here goes.
I worked with Mr Smith, a consultant surgeon, for the whole day. He took me round his ward visits in the morning in surgery and ICU before we went to his morning out-patient clinic where i was allowed to sit in while he talked with his patients, and also explained to me what what wrong with them.
Elliott, you would enjoy this as at 10.30 we had COFFEE and biscuits, before continuing with the clinic.
My session in the afternoon was REALLY good (apart from the fact i was bought lunch), i went into theatre for about 4 hours and saw 3 operations really close up, and were not the cleanest either, just slightly bloody!
Falkirk generally get you into only one department at a time, but then i was only there for one day so if you were there for longer, it's likely they would arrange for you to see more if they can arrange it.
Well, got to go!
See you later,
LUV
