Hi. I would like to firstly introduce myself as "jeeves". Im from glasgow and i am at school I have applied to do medicine at brighton & sussex, aberdeen, dundee, and st andrews. these are my offers:

Aberdeen - withdrawn
BSMS - conditional offer
Dundee - unconditional offer
St Andrews - unconditional offer.

At the moment im torn between dundee and st andrews, so i would like to hear your opinions on both the universites please. I aslo want to wish everyone the best of luck in what they do in the future, no matter where or what they do.

Jeeves.

dundee. reasons:

1) dundee rocks.
2) it's a five-year course, so you'll qualify (ie be rich) sooner.
3) dundee rocks.
4) you don't have the upheaval of moving away to manchester in the middle of your course.
5) dundee rocks.

that ought to do it methinks.

uddingston grammar was pretty rocking - i did my advanced physics there - though i did stick out like a sore thumb because of my navy blazer with bright blue braiding :( the neds' comments used to be priceless though.

uddy grammar is pretty rockin!
haha hugbug and dobbin (aka geri and robyn) came to our school from dalziel for our AH chem classes, and they always looked so stupid in their blazers surrounded by our lot. although everyone wears A uniform now, just not a blazer. before i was in 4th year there was no uniform policy and people used to wear non-uniform. not everyone mind, but some people.

Glad 2 hear lots of people talkin up Uddingston Grammar! I go there & it's great but I do sympathise with you about the Neds - they get worse every year! Anyway, was it Mr. MacKay you did your advanced physics with?

I understand... at my school, the neds are terrible! It actually seems pretty pointless to behave and act the way these people do... don't understand it myself.

Thanks

okay.... i know this is an ancient thread, but..... being very confused about G-protein linked receptors, i decided to dig out my advanced bio notes and see if they were any simpler, and i found loads of typed sheets on surface receptors..... did you make them by any chance adam... cos they have your name on the bottom!!!
