Had an exciting (well I thought it was exciting) phone call today. Not only have this year's UCAS forms reached Aberdeen, but a member of the admissions staff has noticed that some applicants have mentioned the "future doctor" programme at Monklands and was on the phone to ask all about it. I have passed on the details of NextGen.com, so mind your language when posting notices etc. especially if you want to go to Aberdeen!!!

That is superb news!

Before you know it, medical schools will now ask:
"Have you taken part in the 'Future Doctor' scheme?"

And, seen as there are nextgeners already up here, they will know that we are all a good crowd and definitely applicants to consider.

Maybe they will even say:

"Ahh, another 'next gener'"

Good luck with the UCAS forms everyone - all that is left is the interviews. I know I was very nervous awaiting mine (diving to the door every morning to see what the postman is bringing) but be patient, that day will arrive. As for Aberdeen, I got my interview very early on (November) so be prepared - trust me, you do not want to go in there unprepared. Take a look at the interview questions, all the Aberdeen ones I was asked are in there. My experience so far of Aberdeen has been tremendous - I honestly cannot pick out one bad thing about the place.

All sixth years should be checking their e-mail accounts regularly - two NextGeners have had e-mails from Aberdeen inviting them to interview on 23rd October - that has to be the earliest date offered ever.

Not to send you into panic mode, of course!

Got my first e-mail yesterday from a NextGener with her interview date for Aberdeen (30th October)

So a reminder to all 6th years - check you e-mails everyone - they sometimes make early offers of interviews that way.
