hi everyone
I need to do my adv chem project soon and I need some ideas. I would like to keep it medical related.
I could actually do with a step by step plan because I am terrible at the experiments at school, always muck something up and have to guess the results. :redlight:
Thanks

Hi
You can browse around the forums as there is a wide variety of investigations. Alternatively you could ask some people, especially by instant messaging. You should alter your account to allow instant messages.
Have you started your investiagtion planning at school? All schools have a "Starters Investigation Pack" which provides many suggestions.
I am very happy to help if you send an instant message to me, as I have been in touch with others partcularly Elliott.
Also, beware as SQA Investigation Examiners can easily gain access to this site. We already have the Dean of Admissions for several universities registered as users!!!
Hope this helps.
Good luck with your Chemistry!

That's not all bad, though - it's how we got links from the Glasgow and Aberdeen web-sites to ours and several people have found us through those links.

If you already meet the academic requirements with your 5th year results, then you wont find your offer for med school conditional on your AH chemistry / Biology. Under these circumstances, you can risk doing something which interests you but might not work - although you can still get a good report from experiments which don't work.
Are you still allowed to do the project off site - eg in your nearest hospital lab?

There's not really much reason to be wary of this really unless you plan to suggest experiments gassing small rodents for fun. There's no reason that i can see to worry about your honest comments being held against you especially as it is completely up to you if you wish to disclose your name etc.
My guess is they will be registered as a curiosity - see what the students think of the courses, what they can change etc etc
Just as we on the site learn how their process works, they will learn from us how to change and improve it
