Hi everyone,

I just wanted to say that i had a great week before the summer holidays at Stobhill on a shadowing scheme. There were about ten of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed it (Julia will back me up on this). It offered a great opportunity to see the hospital and the staff.

Stobhill was really enjoyable. We saw all the different departments and even visited the Royal Infirmary which is absolutely massive.

The only thing was that I felt really sorry for some of the patients, especially one or two, who were submitted (apparently willingly) to having their chest sounds listened to by eleven 5th year school kids. But hopefully it broke up any boredom they faced in the wards. :smout:

Stobhill is a nice hospital because it is so small it easy to navigate through. Nevertheless I managed to keep up my high standards of getting lost almost everyday. ;)

Glad u had a good time at Stobhill, but ill refrain from tellin u of my vs groups experiences there this year! Not good!

We've been very busy this summer (again) and it's good when there are other places offering work experience places. Glad to hear it was a good programme, too.
